Diversity 101
This session is intended to provide an interactive overview on diversity in general, covering protected characteristics outlined by the 2010 Equality Act and considering the role intersectionality plays. This training course is a brilliant way to begin the journey of individuals and teams in recognising the importance of equality, equity, diversity and inclusivity. We will explore the role unconscious bias has on everyone. The session will end with a discussion on safe spaces, brave spaces, and moving forward in developing your individual knowledge.
Fostering Cultural Competence
This session looks at protected characteristics outlined by the 2010 Equality Act, as well as a wider look at other areas of diversity, in depth. It is an interactive training course that offers discussion on supporting individual groups, as well as recognising intersectionality. This course assumes a basic level of knowledge, and is a brilliant way to develop individuals and teams in becoming active participants in working towards diversity and equity. The session will end with a discussion on allyship, psychological safety and how to make a difference.
If Diversity 101 has not been conducted for this group previously, unconscious bias, safe spaces and brave spaces can also be included in this session.
Building Inclusive Leadership
A session aimed at line managers to support creating an environment for those you manage that encourages diversity, equality, equity and inclusion. We will discuss compassionate leadership, how to have important conversations, creating psychological safety and more. The course requires a basic level of knowledge in diversity, and we would recommend Diversity 101 if leaders are not at all aware of diversity. The end of the session will involve reflection and action setting for team leaders to take forward.
